How to get to Parndana, Kangaroo Island

 

The KI Speed Shears are starting at 11am on Saturday the 22nd November 2008. There are two ways of getting here, one is to fly with either Air South or Rex Airlines. Check with flight times, as the airport is half an hour from Parndana and the early flight is the best one to come on Saturday. Friday night leaves from Adelaide approx 6pm. If you want to come by ferry, Sealink docks at Penneshaw and is one hours drive from Parndana, the two ferry times to come on are either the Friday night or the early one on Saturday morning, these times will ensure to get to the Speed Shears on time. For transport, if you can let us know a week prior to arrival we can arrange for a pick up. If you want to have a vehicle while you are here, Budget or Hertz have hire cars at the Airport and Ferry terminals. Bookings must be made as cars are limited. The ferry leaves from Cape Jervis which is an hour and a half from Adelaide by vehicle.

There is no public transport on the Island.
